The Hull 0 to 19 IPHN service is lead through the Healthy Child Programme. It offers a comprehensive programme of -

  • screening
  • developmental reviews
  • information
  • guidance

We support parenting and healthy choices which enhance life chances for -

  • a child
  • young person's

From the start of your pregnancy through to your child reaching 19 years (25 years if SEND). The team offers all families support and advice.

The IPHNS aims to empower families to make informed and positive decisions about health. The Healthy Child Programme provides individual and tailored support. To make sure that children receive appropriate referrals to specialist services. Also, families have access to wider support systems. The programme will make sure that each family receives support. The most vulnerable families receiving extra support, in partnership with -

  • education
  • other agencies

The Hull 0 to 19 service consists of specialist community public health nurses. Who are health visitors and school nurses that supported by –

  • public health nurses
  • nursing associates
  • health and development practitioners
  • administration teams
  • specialist practitioners
  • infant feeding specialists

Our staff work with other services and settings, including –

  • Community Midwives
  • GPs
  • Family Hubs
  • Early years’ settings
  • Schools
  • Higher education

We also work with other agencies for -

  • children with complex health needs
  • special educational needs
  • disabilities (SEND)

This ensures they get the services and care they need.
