Antenatal classes (sometimes called parent education or a birth preparation course) help you to get ready for your baby’s birth and give you confidence and information.

Classes are run for four weeks, with one session per week at various locations across the city and you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and access information to support your pregnancy including -

  • learning about labour and birth
  • how to stay healthy during pregnancy
  • infant feeding
  • preparing for a new baby
  • post-natal care and support

Sessions are fun and free to attend.

How to access the service

Book your free antenatal classes if you are registered with a Hull GP and have had your 20-week scan. To access classes contact the HEY Baby team on by calling 07769 671 449 or book online. Classes are open to mums, dads and birth partners. There are two places allocated per booking. You will receive an email confirming that you have requested a place on the course.
