Healthy Lifestyles Team

The Healthy Lifestyles Team deliver a range of relaxed and informal programmes to support families make small changes that can add up to a big change. From healthy cooking on a budget sessions for parents to teens and young people cooking, Healthy Holidays Hull activity and the HENRY programme amongst many other things.

The HENRY programme explores family lifestyles topics for those with children aged 0 to 5 and 5 to 12. It will help you identify what you already do well as a family, alongside some small, manageable tweaks that might help. You can get a feel for what the HENRY programme involves by watching the video below, or simply give your local Best Start Family Hub a call and ask to speak to the Healthy Lifestyles Team about healthy weight support.

School Nursing Team

The Public Health Nursing Service is provided by Humber NHS Teaching Foundation Trust. The service aims to prevent ill health and to promote and protect good health and wellbeing of children aged up to 19 years of age and their families. They can support with things linked to healthy weight, diet and a whole host of other topics that you may want support with for your child.

Specialist Weight Management Service

A child at 98+ percentile on the growth chart there is a specialist weight management service in Hull called the Specialist Weight Management Service. This is only available through a GP or school nurse referral.
